Utah Land Grab Hits a Bump

Utah’s leaders have declared war on Utah wilderness.

They’ve created all sorts of wacky schemes to take control of federal lands in Utah – places such as Greater Canyonlands, the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and the San Rafael Swell.

They’re demanding the United States give them over 30 million acres of federally owned public land. They filed 30 lawsuits against the federal government claiming state control of more than 39,000 miles of “roads” (many of which are just wash bottoms or faint trails). And they passed legislation prohibiting federal law enforcement officers from enforcing the law on federally controlled lands. Whew.

But with your help, we’re fighting back.

Last week Utah’s attack on the United States got a course correction.

A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order, blocking the law that would have made it a crime for BLM and Forest Service rangers to do their jobs on federal public lands.

We’re not done yet. We won’t quit until the amazing landscapes of the redrock get the protection they need.

Will you help us fight the biggest threat to Utah’s redrock wilderness we’ve experienced in 20 years, by making a donation today?

We’re in this fight with everything we have. To fight the legal battles we’ve put together a team of more than 20 lawyers and half a dozen researchers. And we’ve launched a massive organizing and outreach campaign, going door-to-door to tens of thousands of Utah homes to let Utah residents know what’s at stake.

Your donation today will help us win this fight to insure the wild lands you and I own as Americans, stay wild.

Thank you for all you do,

The B&B’s Offer A+ Service for Your Vacation

When it comes to vacations people always think and worry about the locale. Where will they go? Does it have something for the kids? Are they looking at a camping trip, a historical location where they can treasure hunt through the museums, or simply that relaxing by the beach vacation that has everything to do with getting the right tan while sipping those amazing cocktails with the bright, colorful umbrellas? However…there is definitely another thing to think about. The location is a big deal, true, but what about the choice of lodging?

Is Social Media Still Growing?

It was in 1999, Bill Gates wrote a book titled, “Business @ the Speed of Thought.” Within these pages, the man who became the computer world’s wizard made massively bold predictions that, at the time, sounded ridiculous and outrageous to those who read them. But when you look at how the social media realm has grown over the past few decades, it is important to take note that not only did his predictions from 1999 come true, but they are also responsible for seeing social media continue to grow by leaps and bounds to this day.

Ryan (Regina Hall), Sasha (Queen Latifah), Dina (Tiffany Haddish) and Lisa (Jada Pinkett Smith) have been friends since their college days in the Nineties. Back then, the tight-knit Flossy Posse partied as hard as they hit the books. After graduating, they curtailed the carousing considerably for the sake of their professional careers.
