World’s First Tow-Behind String Trimmer for Riding Lawn Mowers

DR Power Equipment, the company that revolutionized grass and weed trimming in the 1980’s with their iconic DR Trimmer/Mower, has introduced something just as exciting this spring. It’s the world’s first Tow-Behind Trimmer/Mower for riding lawn mowers, a new and exceptionally easy way to trim while you mow!

Often the process of caring for a large lawn includes two steps:  mowing the bulk of the lawn with a riding lawn tractor, and then  going around the property again on foot to trim weeds and tall grasses with a handheld trimmer. With the new DR 6.25 Tow-Behind Trimmer/Mower, property owners can complete both steps at once, mowing the lawn while trimming those hard-to-reach Dr 6.25 pull behind trimmer 2areas. The machine’s spring-loaded trimmer head deflects automatically around obstacles such as walls, fence posts, mailboxes, and rocks, leaving a neat and even trim within a half-inch of these surfaces.

The DR 6.25 Tow-Behind Trimmer/Mower joins two other DR Tow-Behind Trimmers, giving large property owners plenty of options for choosing the tow-behind trimming option that’s best for them.

DR also offers the 7.25 All-Terrain Trimmer/Mower which tows behind ATVs, UTVs, larger lawn tractors, and utility tractors.  At Dr Trimmer Mower 7. 25 2a hefty 262 lbs., it is designed for mowing particularly rugged off-lawn terrain. Like the 6.25 model, it features a spring-loaded trimmer head that deflects around obstacles with ease. For mowing remote fence lines, roadside ditches, around structures, and up close to rocks and trees, it is a great time-saving solution.

3 point Hitch Trimmer Mower 2For tractor owners, the DR 3-Point Hitch Trimmer/Mower harnesses the power of your tractor for easy trimming. Introduced last summer, this model is the ideal tool for tractor owners with long fence lines, roadside ditches, or pond edges to maintain.

Joe Perrotto, President and CEO of DR Power Equipment’s parent company, Country Home Products, says of the new Tow-Behind Trimmer/Mower line-up: “DR reinvented the string trimmer, and we’re really excited to be taking it to the next level this spring with the tow-behind models. We think they will be invaluable tools for customers with long fences and large properties who want an easy trimming solution.”
